INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet. Toast the bread 5 minutes.

2. Stir together the Amore Tomato and Garlic Pastes, olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper to taste, in a small bowl.
3. Stack the basil leaves and cut them crosswise into narrow ribbons.
4. Spread the sauce on the toasted bread. Top each with a piece of cheese and a sprinkling of basil.
5. Return the pan to the oven and bake 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is slightly melted. Serve immediately.
